Quick Facts About Virtual Cricket

Cricket is something that most people worldwide love playing, watching, and admiring. Moreover, cricket is a refined sport tied to the glamorous world since its origin, making it even more respected among sports lovers.

This may have contributed to cricket’s global appeal, paving the way for fantasy cricket to gain momentum as technology developed. We can’t ignore fantasy cricket’s rapid development in popularity. In today’s world, it’s played by millions of individuals and cricket lovers all over the world. Here are a few frequently asked questions about playing a fantasy cricket match:

  1. It is entirely up to the captain of the first batting side to determine if the opponents must follow on.
  2. Various fielding limits are required in different matches in cricket to discourage specific bowling techniques or encourage batters to make massive strokes that assist them in scoring 4s and 6s. Aside from the bowler and wicket-keeper, each team has nine fielders. The captain decides on fielding placements and rules after consulting and discussing with the bowler.
  3. The pitch and 15-yard circles are both included in the 30-yard circular area. It’s around 30 yards from the nearest wickets. For all one-day cricket matches, this area must be well delineated.
  4. Although there is no fielding limitation circle in limited-overs cricket, there are various limits on fielding positions in test cricket. For example, only two fielders are permitted behind the square on the batsman’s leg side to avoid the risky practice of body-line bowling.
  5. The wicket-keeper must remain entirely behind the stumps until the ball goes through the stumps, is played by the batsman, or affects his person. A fielder shall stand on the pitch or have any portion of his body over it. There should be no substantial shift in posture during the bowler’s run-up position.
  6. Fielders may not venture beyond the field of play. For example, they cannot begin outside the boundary line and go in.
  7. Though it may look weird, there are no rules governing the size of a cricket field. Except for the requirement of an agreement between captains and umpires on the boundary line before the toss, there is no mention of any boundary distance from the center. The border should be marked with a white line or a rope 2.74 m within the perimeter railing.
  8. The crease is the region in cricket that is delineated by white lines painted or chalked on the field of play and is governed by cricket rules. They aid in determining proper batting and fielding performance in various ways. The crease is the region where both the batters and bowlers play cricket.

Playing fantasy cricket is not a hobby for most people these days, it is a passion. They do not rely on probability to win a match. They depend on their own skills and knowledge of the game to win a game of fantasy cricket.
